June 8, 2022: Nicole Moore, "Best Made Bags"

Learn all about the secrets of what makes a quality handmade bag. In this lecture, Nicole will review a large variety of stabilizers and interfacings that provide structure and durability to your handmade bags. She will also review a variety of bag hardware to help take your creations to the next level! Each audience member will receive a free swatch of common interfacings to help them remember it’s particular use!

July 13, 2022: Amy Friend, "Intentional Piecing"

This approximately one hour long trunk show will focus on the quilts found in Amy's book, Intentional Piecing, but may include additional quilts as well. She will use these quilts to illustrate types of fussy cutting and to discuss fabric selection in general. How can you pick the best fabric for a pattern? How can a pattern really showcase a fabric design? Amy defines intentional piecing as a conscious, deliberate process of fabric selection to suit a pattern design (or vice versa) or aesthetic. In her book, she designed each project to show one of the numerous ways that different types of fabrics can be used to their best advantage–from fussy cut motifs, to border prints, stripes, gradients, textured solids and even selvages.
